২৫৯. আনাস ইবনে মালিক (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেন, আমাকে যদি ছাগলের একটি পা-ও দান করা হয়, তাহলে আমি অবশ্যই তা গ্রহণ করব। এ জন্য যদি আমাকে এতে দাওয়াত করা হয়, তবে আমি দাওয়াত গ্রহণ করব।[1]
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بَزِيعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لوْ أُهْدِيَ إِلَيَّ كُرَاعٌ لَقَبِلْتُ ، وَلوْ دُعِيتُ عَلَيْهِ لأَجَبْتُ " .
Anas Radiyallahu 'Anhu reports that Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam said: "Even if I am given a foot of a goat as a present, I will accept it, and if I am invited to partake of it, I will surley accept that invitation".
It does not even come to mind that why should I accept such an ordinary small article, or accept an invitation to partake of it. I think of it as a blessing of Allah and accept it whole heartedly. The actual reason for accepting an invitation is not the food but to encourage the host and keep one happy.
