পরিচ্ছেদঃ ২৮: মুসলিমদের দোষ-ত্রুটি গোপন রাখা জরুরী এবং বিনা প্রয়োজনে তা প্রচার করা নিষিদ্ধ
আল্লাহ তা’আলা বলেছেন,
﴿إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يُحِبُّونَ أَن تَشِيعَ ٱلۡفَٰحِشَةُ فِي ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٞ فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةِۚ﴾ [النور: ١٩]
অর্থাৎ “যারা মু’মিনদের মাঝে অশ্লীলতার প্রসার কামনা করে তাদের জন্য দুনিয়া ও আখেরাতে যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তি রয়েছে।” (সূরা নূর ১৯ আয়াত)
১/২৪৫। আবূ হুরাইরাহ রাদিয়াল্লাহু ’আনহু থেকে বর্ণিত, নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেন, ’’যে দুনিয়াতে কোনো বান্দার দোষ গোপন রাখে, আল্লাহ তা’আলা কিয়ামতের দিন তার দোষ গোপন রাখবেন।’’ (মুসলিম) [1]

وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيرَةَ رضي الله عنه، عَنِ النَّبيّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، قَالَ: «لاَ يَسْتُرُ عَبْدٌ عَبْداً في الدُّنْيَا إلاَّ سَتَرَهُ اللهُ يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ». رواه مسلم

Covering Faults of the Muslims
Allah, the Exalted, says:
"Verily, those who like that (the crime of) illegal sexual intercourse should be propagated among those who believe, they will have a painful torment in this world and in the Hereafter.'' (24:19)
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Allah will cover up on the Day of Resurrection the defects (faults) of the one who covers up the faults of the others in this world".

Commentary: Covering up the shortcomings and faults of people is an excellent manner. That is why this quality is very much liked by Almighty Allah. On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will give a matching reward to that man who has such a quality, which means that Allah will forgive his sins and will not call him to account for his sins. If at all He will do so, He will not do it publicly so that he is not embarrassed before others. Then Allah may forgive him or send him to Hell for a short while.
