পরিচ্ছেদঃ
২৯০. ইবনে আব্বাস (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম মক্কায় ১৩ বছর অবস্থান করেন। এ সময় তাঁর উপর ওহী অবতীর্ণ হতে থাকে। আর মদিনায় ১০ বছর অবস্থান করেন এবং ৬৩ বছর বয়সে ইন্তেকাল করেন।[1]
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " مَكَثَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمَكَّةَ ثَلاثَ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً يُوحَى إِلَيْهِ ، وَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ عَشْرًا ، وَتُوُفِّيَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلاثٍ وَسِتِّينَ " .
Ibn 'Abbaas Radiyallahu 'Anhu reports: "Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam lived in Makkah for thirteen years. (In these thirteen years) Wahi was revealed (to Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam. After this he made hijrah from Makkah), and lived for ten years in Madinah. He passed away at the age of sixty three.
Different narrations have been narrated regarding the age of Sayyidina Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam, which has been briefly explained at the beginning of this chapter. According to the muhadditheen and historians this is the most correct narration.

২৯১. জারীর (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিত। তিনি মুআবিয়া (রাঃ) কে একবার ভাষণ দিতে শুনেছেন যে, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম ৬৩ বছর বয়সে ইন্তেকাল করেছেন। আবু বকর (রাঃ) ও উমার (রাঃ) ৬৩ বছর বয়সে ইন্তেকাল করেন। এখন আমার বয়স ৬৩ বছর।[1]
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ يَخْطُبُ ، قَالَ : " مَاتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلاثٍ وَسِتِّينَ " وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ ، وَأَنَا ابْنُ ثَلاثٍ وَسِتِّينَ .
Mu'aa-wiyah Radiyallahu 'Anhu once said this in the khutbah: "Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam passed away at the age of sixty three. (The Shaykhayn, i.e.) Abubakr Radiyallahu 'Anhu and 'Umar Radiyallahu 'Anhu also passed away at the age of sixty three years. My age (at the moment) is also sixty three".
It means that it is not impossible for me to be blessed with the following of this natural age. The muhadditheen write that this wish of Sayyidina' Mu'aa-wiyah Radiyallahu 'Anhu was not fulfilled. He passed away at the age of eighty years. Sayyidina 'Uthmaan Radiyallahu'Anhu was not mentioned here, although he had close ties with him. The reason is apparent, that the age of 'Uthmaan Radiyallahu 'Anhu was more than eighty years old when he was martyred. The reason for Imaam Tirmidhi mentioning this narration is to strengthen the previous narration, where it is stated that Sayyidina Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam passed away at the age of sixty three years. The Shaykhayn were blessed with the natural following of Sayyidina Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam in this matter.

২৯২. আয়েশা (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিত। রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম ৬৩ বছর বয়সে ইন্তেকাল করেছেন।[1]
حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ الْبَصْرِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ : " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , مَاتَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلاثٍ وَسِتِّينَ سَنَةً " .
'Aayeshah Radiyallahu 'Anha reports: "Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam passed away at the age of sixty three years.
This narration is also to strengthen the previous narrations. It is confirmed from many narrations that Sayyidina Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam attained the age of sixty three years. Therefore the narration that are contrary to these are not correct, or are not correct in their apparent form.

২৯৩. ইবনে আব্বাস (রাঃ) হতে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম ৬৫ বছর বয়সে ইন্তেকাল করেছিলেন।[1]
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ ، وَيَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُلَيَّةَ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا عَمَّارٌ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ , يَقُولُ : " تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , وَهُوَ ابْنُ خَمْسٍ وَسِتِّينَ .
Ibn 'Abbaas Radiyallahu 'Anhu narrates: "Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam passed away at the age of sixty five years".
This narration is contrary to the previous narration. It shall be briefly discussed at the end of the chapter, and a reference to it has already been made at the beginning of the chapter.

২৯৪. আনাস ইবনে মালিক (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম না দীর্ঘ অবয়ব বিশিষ্ট ছিলেন, না খর্বাকৃতির ছিলেন। না সাদা বর্ণের ছিলেন, না ছিলেন ধূসর বর্ণের। তাঁর চুল না খুব বক্র ছিল, না ছিল সোজা: বরং ঈষৎ কোঁকড়ানো ছিল। ৪০ বছরের মাথায় তাকে নবুওয়াত দান করা হয়। এরপর তিনি মক্কায় ১০ বছর, মদিনায় ১০ বছর কাটান এবং ৬০ বছরের মাথায় ইন্তেকাল করেন। তখন তাঁর দাড়ি বা মাথার ২০টি চুলও সাদা হয়নি।[1]
উল্লেখ্য যে, নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর বয়স সম্পর্কে উপরের হাদীসগুলোতে বিভিন্ন রকম বর্ণনা থাকলেও বিশুদ্ধ মত অনুযায়ী তাঁর বয়স হয়েছিল ৬৩ বছর। ৪০ বছর বয়সে তিনি নবুওয়াত লাভ করেন। এরপর মক্কায় ১৩ বছর এবং মদিনায় ১০ বছর অতিবাহিত করেন।
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مُوسَى الأَنْصَارِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ , يَقُولُ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , لَيْسَ بِالطَّوِيلِ الْبَائِنِ ، وَلا بِالْقَصِيرِ ، وَلا بِالأَبْيَضِ الأَمْهَقِ ، وَلا بِالآدَمِ ، وَلا بِالْجَعْدِ الْقَطَطِ ، وَلا بِالسَّبْطِ ، بَعَثَهُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَلَى رَأْسِ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً ، فَأَقَامَ بِمَكَّةَ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ ، وَبِالْمَدِينَةِ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ ، وَتَوَفَّاهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى رَأْسِ سِتِّينَ سَنَةً , وَلَيْسَ فِي رَأْسِهِ وَلِحْيَتِهِ عِشْرُونَ شَعْرَةً بَيْضَاءَ " .
Anas Radiyallahu 'Anhu reports: ''Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam was not of a tall height nor was he short. (According to colour) he was not very white, nor very wheat coloured (dark). His mubaarak hair was not very curly nor very straight (but was slightly curled). He was blessed with prophethood at the age of forty, after that he lived for ten years in Makkah Mukarramah, and ten years in Madinah Munawwarah. At the age of sixty years Rasulullah
Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam passed away. At that time he did not have more than twenty white hair in his mubaarak head and beard''.
This hadith of Sayyidina Anas Radiyallahu 'Anhu has been mentioned at the biginning of the kitaab. In its commentary the three narrations have also been mentioned, and the explanations of the three different narrations have also been given. The 'ulama are unanimous in that the narrations where in the age of Sayyidina Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam is narrated as sixty three years are the most correct. The other hadith can be referred to this, or it may be possible that the later narrators may have slipped up. Therefore in this hadith Sayyidina Anas Radiyallahu 'Anhu it could be explained that many a times, at the time of counting, only the units are mentioned, and the fractions omitted. Sayyidina 'Urwah bin Zubayr Radiyallhu 'Anhu, the nephew of Sayyidiyina 'Aayesha Radiyallahu 'Anha has stated that the narration of Sayyidina Ibn 'Ababas Radiyallahu 'Anhu where the age is mentioned as sixty five years is incorrect. Mulla Ali Qaari has explained this in detail.
