রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম ’সুফল’ পছন্দ করতেন :
১৩৬. আনাস ইবনে মালিক (রাঃ) হতে বর্ণিত। রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম ’সুফল’ পছন্দ করতেন। আবদুল্লাহ [ইমাম তিরমিয়ী (রহঃ) এর উস্তাদ] বলেন, ’সুফল’ হচ্ছে সে জিনিস, যা লোকেরা খাদ্য গ্রহণের পর হাড়ি-পাতিলের তলায় লেগে থাকে।[1]
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ يُعْجِبُهُ الثُّفْلُ " ، قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ : " يَعْنِي مَا بَقِيَ مِنَ الطَّعَامِ " .
Anas radiyallahu anhu says, “Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam liked to eat the remains (known as ‘powpra’ in Gujarati).”
This is the sign of the complete humbleness of Sayyidina Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam. He first fed others, then chose for himself what was left over. There are many instances in the ahaadith that inform us of this. Some Ulama state that the reason for this is because food at the bottom is less fatty and also digests quickly.
