পরিচ্ছেদঃ ৩০৫ : পাথর, দেওয়াল, ছাদ, মুদ্রা ইত্যাদিতে প্রাণীর মূর্তি খোদাই করা হারাম। অনুরূপভাবে দেওয়াল, ছাদ, বিছানা, বালিশ, পর্দা, পাগড়ী, কাপড় ইত্যাদিতে প্রাণীর চিত্র অঙ্কন করা হারাম এবং মূর্তি ছবি নষ্ট করার নির্দেশ
২/১৬৮৮। আয়েশা রাদিয়াল্লাহু আনহা হতে বর্ণিত, তিনি বলেন, নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম [তাবূক যুদ্ধের] সফর থেকে ফিরে এলেন। আমি আমার কক্ষের তাক বা জানালায় পাতলা কাপড়ের পর্দা টাঙ্গিয়ে ছিলাম; তাতে ছিল [প্রাণীর] অনেকগুলি চিত্র। রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম যখন ওটা দেখলেন, তখন তার চেহারা পরিবর্তন হয়ে গেল। তিনি বললেন, ’’হে আয়েশা! কিয়ামতের দিন সেসব মানুষের সবচেয়ে বেশি শাস্তি হবে, যারা আল্লাহর সৃষ্টির অনুরূপ তৈরি করবে।’’ আয়েশা রাদিয়াল্লাহু আনহা বলেন, ’সুতরাং আমরা তা ছিঁড়ে ফেললাম এবং তা দিয়ে একটি বা দু’টি হেলান-বালিশ তৈরি করলাম।’ (বুখারী ও মুসলিম)[1]
(305) بَابُ تَحْرِيْمِ تَصْوِيْرِ الْحَيَوَانِ فِيْ بِسَاطٍ أَوْحَجَرٍ أَوْ ثَوْبٍ أَوْ دِرْهَمٍ أَوْ مُخَدَّةٍ أَوْ دِيْنَارٍ أَوْ وِسَادَةٍ وَغَيْرِ ذٰلِكَ وَتَحْرِيْمِ اِتِّخَاذِ الصُّوْرَةِ فِيْ حَائِطٍ وَسَقْفٍ وَسِتْرٍ وَعِمَامَةٍ وَثَوْبٍ وَنَحْوِهَا وَالْأَمْرُ بِإِتْلَافِ الصُّوَرِ
وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنهَا، قَالَتْ : قَدِمَ رَسُول اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ سَفَرٍ، وَقَدْ سَتَرْتُ سَهْوَةً لِي بِقِرامٍ فِيهِ تَمَاثيلُ، فَلَمَّا رَآهُ رَسُول اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم تَلَوَّنَ وَجْهُهُ، وَقَالَ: «يَا عَائِشَةُ، أَشَدُّ النَّاسِ عَذَاباً عِندَ اللهِ يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ الَّذِينَ يُضَاهُونَ بِخَلْقِ اللهِ» قَالَتْ : فَقَطَعْنَاهُ فَجَعَلْنَا مِنهُ وِسَادَةً أَوْ وِسَادَتَيْنِ . متفق عليه
(305) Chapter: Prohibition of Drawing Portraits
'Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) visited me after returning from a journey, and I had a shelf with a thin cloth curtain hanging over it and on which there were portraits. When he saw it, the colour of his face changed (because of anger) and he said, "O 'Aishah! the most grievous torment from Allah on the Day of Resurrection will be for those who imitate (Allah) in the act of His creation." 'Aishah said: We tore it into pieces and made a cushion or two cushions out of that.

Commentary: This Hadith has already appeared earlier [Hadith No. 650]. We learn from it that the act of drawing (pictures of humans, animals and things that have a soul in them) or photography and hanging of pictures (of such things) for display or decoration in homes is a great sin. It is, however, permissible that sheets bearing such pictures are cut into pieces for making such things which are not sacred and people go on trampling them, as was done by `Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) that she made pillow covers of these pieces.
