পরিচ্ছেদঃ ২১৭: রমযানের রোযা ফরয, তার ফযীলত ও আনুষঙ্গিক জ্ঞাতব্য বিষয়াবলী
২/১২২৪। উক্ত রাবী (আবূ হুরাইরা) রাদিয়াল্লাহু আনহু হতে বর্ণিত, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেন, “যে ব্যক্তি আল্লাহর রাস্তায় জোড়া বস্তু ব্যয় করে, তাকে জান্নাতের দরজাসমূহ থেকে ডাকা হবে, ’হে আল্লাহর বান্দাহ! এ দরজাটি উত্তম (এদিকে এস)।’ সুতরাং যে নামাযীদের দলভুক্ত হবে, তাকে নামাযের দরজা থেকে ডাক দেওয়া হবে। আর যে মুজাহিদদের দলভুক্ত হবে। তাকে জিহাদের দরজা থেকে ডাকা হবে। যে রোযাদারদের দলভুক্ত হবে, তাকে ’রাইয়ান’ নামক দরজা থেকে আহ্বান করা হবে। আর দাতাকে দানের দরজা থেকে ডাকা হবে।” এ সব শুনে আবূ বকর রাদিয়াল্লাহু আনহু বললেন, ’হে আল্লাহর রাসূল! আমার মাতা-পিতা আপনার জন্য কুরবান হোক, যাকে ডাকা হবে, তার ঐ সকল দরজার তো কোন প্রয়োজন নেই। (কেননা মুখ্য উদ্দেশ্য হল, কোনভাবে জান্নাতে প্রবেশ করা।) কিন্তু এমন কেউ হবে কি, যাকে উক্ত সকল দরজাসমূহ থেকে ডাকা হবে?’ তিনি বললেন, “হ্যাঁ। আর আশা করি, তুমি তাদের দলভুক্ত হবে।” (বুখারী ও মুসলিম) [1]
(217) بَابُ وُجُوْبِ صَوْمِ رَمَضَانَوَبَيَانِ فَضْلِ الصِّيَامِ وَمَا يَتَعَلَّقُ بِهِ
وَعَنْه: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم صلى الله عليه وسلم، قَالَ: «مَنْ أَنْفَقَ زَوْجَيْنِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ نُودِيَ مِنْ أَبْوَابِ الجَنَّةِ، يَا عَبْدَ اللهِ هَذَا خَيرٌ، فَمَنْ كَانَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الصَّلاَةِ دُعِيَ مِنْ بَابِ الصَّلاَةِ، وَمَنْ كَانَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الجِهَادِ دُعِيَ مِنْ بَابِ الجِهَادِ، وَمَنْ كَانَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الصِّيَامِ دُعِيَ مِنْ بَابِ الرَّيَّانِ، وَمَنْ كَانَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الصَّدَقَةِ دُعِيَ مِنْ بَابِ الصَّدَقَةِ». قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: بِأَبي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ! مَا عَلَى مَنْ دُعِيَ مِنْ تِلْكَ الأَبْوَابِ مِنْ ضَرورةٍ، فَهَلْ يُدْعَى أَحَدٌ مِنْ تِلْكَ الأَبوَابِ كُلِّهَا ؟ فَقَالَ: «نَعَمْ، وَأَرْجُو أنْ تَكُونَ مِنْهُمْ».متفقٌ عَلَيْهِ
(217) Chapter: The Excellence of Observing Saum (Fasts) during Ramadan
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "He who spends a pair in the way of Allah will be called from the gates of Jannah: 'O slave of Allah! This gate is better for you' and one who is constant in Salat (prayer), will be called from the Gate of Salat; and whoever is eager in fighting in the Cause of Allah, will be called from the Gate of Jihad; and who is regular in observing Saum will be called from Ar-Raiyan Gate. The one who is generous in charity will be called from the Gate of Charity." Abu Bakr (May Allah be pleased with him) said: "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! May my mother and father be sacrificed for you! Those who are called from these gates will stand in need of nothing. Will anybody be called from all of those gates?" He replied, "Yes, and I hope that you will be one of them."

Commentary: "Pair'' means two; in other channels of transmission, it has been explained thus: "They asked him, `Pair of what?' He (PBUH) said, `A pair of horses, cows or camels'.'' "Pair'' in this Hadith, however, can be allinclusive; i.e., fasting two days or performing two prayers, etc. This Hadith also mentions special distinction of Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (May Allah be pleased with him) and the esteem in which he was held by the Prophet (PBUH). It also transpires from this Hadith that one can praise such a person right on his face about whom one does not fear that it will make him proud. This Hadith has also an inducement for giving in Sadaqah two instead of a single item.
